1. Betadine/Povidone Iodine (1 bottle or 3 swab-sticks)
  2. Alcohol prep pads
  3. Lidocaine 1% without epinephrine
  4. Triamcinolone Acetonide 40mg/mL (Kenalog)
  5. Syringe, 5cc
  6. Needle, 18-gauge, 1-0.5 inch length –to draw meds.
  7. Needle, 21 to 23-gauge, >1.25-inch length (I prefer 1.5 inch) –to inject.
  8. Injection:  5 ml of Lidocaine 1% without epinephrine and 1ml of Kenalog 40 mg/1mL for a total of 6 ml.
  9. Gauze, 2×2, non-sterile (about 5)
  10. Gebauer’s cold spray
  11. Band-Aid
