You don’t need topical anesthesia for cervical polypectomy.
Insert the vaginal speculum and expose the cervix and the polyp on it. Use a cotton tip applicator or ring forceps to identify the base of the polyp. Then use a ring forceps to grab all of the polyp from the base. Then simply twist and rotate continuously until the polyp comes off. It’s very easy.
