To admit patient in CERNA, Powerchart, go to:
Orders > Search field > Type “Adm” in the search field.
1) Choose “Admit to Inpatient” to enter the order for where (the floor) the patient should be sent, e.g. to Acute, Intermediate, Critical / Intensive care and choose the corresponding floor under each of the three levels e.g. Medical / Surgical, Telemetry, PCU, ICU, CCU, MICU, NICU etc.
2) Go back to the search field and type, “Adm” again and this time, choose a power set to complete to field out the “ADC VANDALISM” admission orders for your patient.
3) At top of order window, go to Reconciliation > Admission to reconcile medications and choose which home medications you want to continue in the hospital and which ones you don’t want to continue.
4) Enter other orders that are not in the power chart, order medications that are new and not continued, etc.
