About Time of Care

How I started Time of Care
I started Time of Care during residency to serve as my medical notebook where I used it to store much of what I was learning. Being a family medicine resident, my scope of practice is broad. I wanted a place to organize the information. I also love to read journals and be able to pull them up again at any time. This made a medical blog like time of care a perfect thing for me. I could add content from my smartphone and edit it quickly. I could also organize it into categories with pages. I could link things and quickly search and find my notes.

I’m still using it for that purpose. I used it when studying for my in-training exams and for my boards toward the end of residency. Because it’s my learning blog, there are many things on here that I have cut and paste from different sources and have only yet minimally attributed. I plan to do that as time goes on and I get back to those topics and review them.

Even though it’s not polished at all, it’s helping a lot of people already. If you find Time of Care useful and want to contribute to making it cleaner and better, please let me know. To become a contributing author, email kenneth@kennethmd.com
